WEST LINN, Ore. – The Senior Citizens Council of Clackamas County (SCCCC) raised about $19,000 at its annual fund-raising dinner and silent auction held June 22 at the Oregon Golf Club in West Linn.

At the dinner, the Oregon City-based nonprofit group presented its 2013 Citizen for Seniors Award to the Portland Women’s Foundation and to the Newcomers Welcome Club of Lake Oswego & West Linn. Close to 120 people attended.

“These two caring groups have gone above and beyond in helping our organization and local seniors,” said SCCCC Executive Director Christi Bird. “They have both been among our top supporters for many years and we appreciate all they do for us.”
